About Me

I'm a literary scholar and historian specialising in histories of women, wealth, and property from the age of Jane Austen to the era of Taylor Swift. I'm the author of Women and Property Ownership in Jane Austen (Peter Lang, 2022) and Reading the Romantic Ridiculous (Routledge 2024).

I'm currently a Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO) Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at Ghent University. As part of this fellowship, I'm working on my third book, Single Women and Inheritance in British Literature and History of the long Nineteenth Century. I have been interviewed for The Guardian and podcasts like History Hack, and my research has been published in magazines including Jane Austen’s Regency World.
