Day 5 - 03/09/2022 - Willow Glen and Mountain House

Today lots of fun was had and few photos were taken. In the morning, my friend Genesis drove me to Willow Glen, a district of San José. We went around different shops and I could start picking out my first souvenirs of California. I had an absolutely huge portion of poke for lunch, which I hadn't had since the last time I was here, three years ago. We grabbed a Diet Coke at a Burger King on the way, and that's just one of the small things I never do that immediately reminds me I'm on a holiday. We passed by a cannabis dispensary, Caliva, where I took a photo of what I thought was their absolutely hilarious ad. We spent the rest of the day in Genesis's new house in Mountain House, in a new neighbourhood with full-of-character houses, which I loved, and which show that you don't automatically have to go with the grey-rectangle model when building a modern home. I can't believe how much I have already seen and done and it's only day 5!
